1. Call to Worship: Based on Psalm 9:1-2

We will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart;
We will recount all of your wonderful deeds.
We will be glad and exult in you;
We will sing praise to your name, O Most High.

2. This I Believe (Creed) by Ben Fielding and Matt Crocker, Arr. New Wine Worship

I believe in God our Father
I believe in Christ the Son
I believe in the Holy Spirit
Our God is three in one
I believe in the resurrection

For I believe in the name of Jesus

3. Scripture Reading: Adapted from Psalms 135, 96, 63, 118, & 73

LEADER: I know that the Lord is great,
that our Lord is greater than all gods.
Splendor and majesty are before him;
strength and glory are in his sanctuary.

ALL: Give me Jesus

LEADER: I have seen you in the sanctuary
and beheld your power and your glory.
Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.

ALL: Give me Jesus

LEADER: It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to trust in humans.
It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to trust in princes.

ALL: Give me Jesus

LEADER: Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.

ALL: Give me Jesus

4. Give Me Jesus – Traditional Spiritual, Additional Lyrics and Music by Matt Stinton

Give me Jesus.
Give me Jesus.
You can have all this world;
give me Jesus.

Give me the one my soul delights in
Give me the one in whom my hope is securely found
Give me the one my soul delights in
Give me the one in whom my hope is securely, securely found

5. Words of Assurance: Based on Hebrews 7 & 10, & Romans 8

LEADER: Christ Jesus who died for us—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is interceding for us.

ALL: He lives forever to intercede with God on our behalf.

LEADER: So let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.

Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.

6. Before the Throne – Words: Charitie L. Bancroft (1863), Music: Vikki Cook, Arrangement: Citizens and Saints

Before the throne of God above
I have a strong and perfect plea.
A great high Priest whose Name is Love
Who ever lives and pleads for me.
My name is graven on His hands,
My name is written on His heart.
I know that while in Heaven He stands
No tongue can bid me thence depart.

7. Communion Song: Nothing But the Blood – Words and Music by Robert Lowry, Arrangement: Page CXVI

What can wash away my sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

How precious is the flow
that makes me white as snow;
No other fount I know,
nothing but the blood of Jesus.

8. Communion Song: How Deep the Father’s Love For Us by Stuart Townend

Behold the man upon a cross,
My sin upon His shoulders;
Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice
Call out among the scoffers.
It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished;
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished.

9. Communion Song: It is Finished by Dustin Kensrue

It is finished! He has done it!
Let your weary heart rejoice.
Our redemption is accomplished,
raise a shout with ragged voice
and go bravely into battle
knowing he has won the war.
It is finished, lift your head
and weep no more.
