God of Wonders by Marc Byrd and Steve Hindalong, Arrangement: The Crossing Music

Lord of all Creation,
of water, earth and sky,
the heavens are your tabernacle;
glory to the Lord on high.

God of wonders beyond our galaxy,
You are holy, holy;
The universe declares Your majesty.
You are holy, holy.

Before the Throne – Words: Charitie L. Bancroft (1863), Music: Vikki Cook, Arrangement: the Modern Post

We sang a new arrangement of this retuned hymn which moves the song from it’s original celtic feel (with a 3/4 time signature) into a more rock oriented 4/4 time signature. Dustin Kensrue (of the The Modern Post) said in a recent interview, “The gospel is the most timeless and timely of news—always. And as the church, we have the great joy of not only being recipients of this news, but its heralds as well.” Singing songs like “Before the Throne” is one of the ways we herald the gospel and encourage one another in our faith during our Sunday services.

When Satan tempts me to despair
and tells me of the guilt within
upward I look and see Him there
Who made an end of all my sin.
Because the sinless Savior died
my sinful soul is counted free
for God the just is satisfied
to look on Him and pardon me.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ by Cam Huxford, Arranged by Ghost Ship

And he who is seated on the throne,
said “I am making all things new.”
He said “It is finished, hear these words,
they are trustworthy and true.”
He is the Alpha and the Omega,
the beginning and the end.
And to the thirsty he will give water,
from a river with no end.

Wipe away every tear from our eyes.
Death will be no more.

Wandering Soul by David A. Cover and Christine Cover

There’s nothing I can do
to take away the shame that I feel.
There’s nothing I can do

to shed the burdens carried with me.
I’m a sinner with a wand’ring soul.

But I felt the weight lift off of me
when I heard a Voice call out to me,
“It is done. It is finished.

I AM what you have been seeking.”

How Great Thou Art by Stuart K. Hine

And when I think that God,
His Son not sparing, ?sent Him to die,
I scarce can take it in; ?That on the cross,
my burden gladly bearing, ?He bled and died
to take away my sin.

Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee:
How great thou art! How great thou art!
