O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing by Charles Wesley (1739), Contemporary chorus by David Crowder and Jack Parker
Glory to God, and praise and love
Be ever, ever given,
By saints below and saints above,
The church in earth and heaven.
So come on and sing out,
let our anthem grow loud,
There is one great love; Jesus
O My Soul, Arise – Words: Charles Wesley (1742), Music and additional words: Eric McAllister
This new song from Sovereign Grace Music enabled us to sing of Christ’s soul restoring and life transforming power in our lives. Eric McAllister, who retuned this hymn had this to say about the song:
“I set the song in a minor key, aware that the battle to remember the scriptural truths contained in these verses is a battle! But how sweet it is to contend with our souls knowing that the object of our trust is Jesus Christ. He is our unique and perfectly qualified Great High Priest, and our assurance that we do not fight alone.”
He ever lives above
For me to intercede
His all redeeming love
His precious blood to plead
His blood atoned for every race
His blood atoned for every race
And sprinkles now the throne of grace
O my soul, arise
Behold the risen Christ
Your Great High Priest
Your spotless sacrifice
Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus – Words & Music: Helen H. Lemmel (1922)
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.
His Forever by Pat Sczebel
Not death nor life nor anything
Can ever separate me
O love that will not let me go
Yes, I am His forever
Come Ye Sinners – Words: Joseph Hart, Music: Matthew Smith
Come, ye sinners, poor and wretched,
Weak and wounded, sick and sore;
Jesus, ready, stands to save you,
Full of pity, joined with power.
He is able, He is able;
He is willing; doubt no more.
