All I Have is Christ by Jordan Kauflin

But as I ran my hell-bound race, indifferent to the cost,
You looked upon my helpless state and led me to the cross.
And I beheld God’s love displayed, You suffered in my place,
You bore the wrath reserved for me, now all I know is grace.

Hallelujah! All I have is Christ.
Hallelujah! Jesus is my life.

The Solid Rock – Words by Edward Mote (1834); Music by William B. Bradbury (1863), Arrangement by Page CXVI

My hope is built on nothing less
than Jesus blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
but wholly lean on Jesus name.

On Christ the solid Rock I stand
all other ground is sinking sand,
all other ground is sinking sand.

Dear Refuge of My Weary Soul – Words by Anne Steele (1716-1778), Contemporary Music by Kevin Twit

Dear refuge of my weary soul,
on Thee, when sorrows rise
on Thee, when waves of trouble roll,
my fainting hope relies;
To Thee I tell each rising grief,
for Thou alone canst heal.
Thy Word can bring a sweet relief,
for every pain I feel.

We had an extended time of prayer (guided by Psalm 55) where we expressed our hearts to God, looking to him as the “refuge of our weary souls.”

But I call to God,
and the Lord saves me.
Evening, morning and noon
I cry out in distress,
and he hears my voice.

Cast your cares on the LORD
and he will sustain you;
he will never let the righteous fall.

How Long to Save by Patrick K. Miller and David A. Cover

Beneath the sea, deliver me;
the current’s wake You take!
My sinful ways are drowning me,
cut the deep, set me free!

You are my Rock, my firm foundation;
apart from You I will fall.
You are my strength. my sure salvation!
I love You, Lord

Psalm 34:4-6 and Psalm 34:8 assured us God hears our prayers and He rescues us from our fears, worries, and troubles.

I sought the LORD, and he answered me;
he delivered me from all my fears.
Those who look to him are radiant;
their faces are never covered with shame.
This poor man called, and the LORD heard him;
he saved him out of all his troubles.

Taste and see that the LORD is good;
blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.

Gloria by King’s Kaliedoscope

O taste and see that the Lord is good;
all you people, all you saints
all you children of the king.
Gloria!, Gloria!, Gloria!, Gloria!

Jesus, All For Jesus by Robin Mark and Jennifer Atkinson

We’ve been singing Jesus, All For Jesus for a long time at The Crossing. The simple, yet earnest, lyrics are a moving prayer of dedication to Christ.

Jesus, all for Jesus,
All I am and have and ever hope to be.
All of my ambitions, hopes and plans
I surrender these into Your hands.
For it’s only in Your will that I am free.
