All Creatures of Our God and King – Words by Francis of Assisi (cirĀca 1225), Arrangement by David Crowder
All creatures of our God and King
Lift up your voice and with us sing,
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Thou burning sun with golden beam,
Thou silver moon with softer gleam!
O praise Him! O praise Him!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
Behold Our God by Jonathan Baird, Meghan Baird and Stephen Altrogge
Who has held the oceans in His hands?
Who has numbered every grain of sand?
Kings and nations tremble at His voice,
all creation rises to rejoice.
Behold our God, seated on His throne.
Come, let us adore Him.
Andrew lead us in a prayer of confession penned by the seventeenth century Puritan Richard Baxter.
Most great and gracious God; you are of purer eyes than to behold iniquity; but you have promised mercy through Jesus Christ to all who repent and believe in him. We confess that we are sinful by nature and that we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God.
We have neglected and abused your holy worship and your holy name. We have dealt unjustly and uncharitably with our neighbors. We have not sought first your kingdom and righteousness. We have not been content with our daily bread.
You have revealed your wonderful love to us in Christ and offered us pardon and salvation in him; but we have turned away. we have run into temptation; and the sin that we should have hated, we have committed.
Have mercy upon us, most merciful father! We confess you alone are our hope. Make us your children and give us the spirit of your son, our only savior. Amen.
You Have Redeemed My Soul by Don and Lori Chafer
I was a hungry child, a dried up river.
I was a burned out forest
and no one could do anything for me.
But You put food in my body,
water in my dry bed,
and to my blackened branches
you brought the springtime green of new life, of new life.
Hungry by Kathryn Scott, Arrangement by The Crossing Music
Hungry I come to You for I know You satisfy.
I am empty but I know Your love does not run dry.
So I wait for You, so I wait for You.
I’m falling on my knees offering all of me.
Jesus, You’re all this heart is living for.
Be Thou My Vision – traditional Irish hymn, Translation: Eleanor Hull (1912), Arrangement: The Crossing Music
Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art.
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.
How Great Thou Art by Stuart K. Hine, Based on an arrangement by Page CXVI
And when I think that God, His Son not sparing,
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;
That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin.
Then sings my soul to my Savior, God.
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!
I Want to Run by The Crossing Music featuring Rahlo
“I Want to Run” (based on Hebrews 12:1-2) was the featured song of The Crossing’s Kids Club, and helped everyone involved take to heart the week’s theme of running the race of faith. This morning, we sang the song for the first time as a church and were privileged to have hip-hop artist Rahlo (Michael Porter) lead us in worship. You can to listen to the full recording of “I Want to Run” at crossingsongs.com
