Gathering Song: Surrender by Marc James, Alternate melody by David A. Cover and Christine Cover

I’m giving you my heart,
and all that is within,
I lay it all down for the sake of you my King.
I’m giving you my dreams,
I’m laying down my rights,
I’m giving up my pride for the promise of new life.

And I surrender all to You. All to You.

Our call to worship was from Psalm 34:1-3.

I will glory in the Lord;
let the afflicted hear and rejoice.
Glorify the Lord with me;
let us exalt his name together.

Doxology – Words: Thomas Ken (1674), Music: Old 100th, Genevan Psalter (1551), Additional lyrics and Music by David A. Cover and Christine Cover

Praise the Father, praise the Son,
praise the Spirit, Three-in-One.
Praise the Father, praise the Son,
praise the Spirit, Three-in-One.
All creation sings your praise.

David read Psalm 8: 1, 3-6, 9 before encouraging us to humble ourselves to rest in God’s love for us in Christ.

LORD, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory above the heavens.

When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
what are mere mortals that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?

Prayer of the Lowly by Andrew Camp, Christine Cover and David A. Cover

Break my pride to pieces and scatter it to the wind.
And put in me humility to rest in Your ways.
For You, help live to You, help say,
“Holy, holy is the Lord, God Almighty;
Worthy, worthy is the King who died for me!”

The Gospel Song by Bob Kauflin and Drew Jones

Holy God, in love, became
perfect Man to bear my blame.
On the cross He took my sin.
By His death I live again.

O the Deep, Deep Love of Jesus – Words: Samuel Francis (1834-1925), Music: Christine Cover and Greg Weile, Arrangement: The Crossing Music

O the deep, deep love of Jesus,
vast, unmeasured, boundless, free!
Rolling as a mighty ocean
in its fullness over me!
Underneath me, all around me,
is the current of Thy love
Leading onward, leading homeward
to Thy glorious rest above!

In Christ Alone by Stuart Townend and Keith Getty, New melody and chorus: Christine Cover and Greg Weile, Arrangement: The Crossing Music

In Christ alone! who took on flesh,
fullness of God in helpless babe!
This gift of love and righteousness,
scorned by the ones He came to save:
Till on that cross as Jesus died,
The wrath of God was satisfied
for every sin on Him was laid;
here in the death of Christ I live.
