Gathering Song: All the Way My Savior Leads Me – Words: Fanny J. Crosby (1875), Music: Robert S. Lowry, Arrangement by Chris Tomlin and Matt Redman

All the way my Savior leads me;
What have I to ask beside?
Can I doubt His tender mercy,
Who through life has been my Guide?
All the way my Savior leads me
and cheers each winding path I tread,
and gives me grace for ev’ry trial,
feeds me with the living bread.

Mark welcomed us and read a call to worship from Psalm 77: 12-14.

I will ponder all your work and meditate on your mighty deeds.
Your way, O God, is holy.
What god is great like our God?
You are the God who works wonders;
you have made known your might among the peoples.

Blessed Be Your Name by Matt and Beth Redman

Blessed Be Your Name
in the land that is plentiful,
where Your streams of abundance flow,
blessed be Your name

Blessed Be Your name
when I’m found in the desert place,
though I walk through the wilderness,
blessed Be Your name.

God of Wonders by Marc Byrd and Steve Hindalong

Lord of all creation,
of water earth and sky;
The heavens are your Tabernacle
Glory to the Lord on high.
God of wonders beyond our galaxy,
You are holy, holy.

It’s always helpful to hear scripture repeated from week to week because sometimes our hearts may hear a truth in the second reading that we may have glossed over during the first. So, Mark encouraged us again with last week’s reading from Ephesians 2:1-2a, 3-5.

“As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins… we were by nature deserving of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.”

Mighty is the Power of the Cross by Chris Tomlin, Jesse Reeves and Shawn Craig

What can take a dying man
and raise him up to life again?
What can heal the wounded soul,
what can make us white as snow?
What can fill the emptiness,
what can mend our brokenness?

All I Have is Christ by Jordan Kauflin

This new song from Sovereign Grace Music shows us our desperate need for Christ leading us to cry out, “Hallelujah! All I have is Christ. Hallelujah! Jesus is my life.”

But as I ran my hell-bound race, indifferent to the cost,
You looked upon my helpless state and led me to the cross.
And I beheld God’s love displayed, You suffered in my place,
You bore the wrath reserved for me, now all I know is grace.
Hallelujah! All I have is Christ. Hallelujah! Jesus is my life.

The Love of God by F.H. Lehman (1917), Arrangement by MercyMe

The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.
