How to Prepare for the Third Sunday of Advent, Dec. 15, at The Crossing

On Fridays we post a guide for how to prepare for the upcoming Sunday service. It gives you a chance to read the Bible passage ahead of time, see the song list, and get your mind and heart ready. You can see some of the rationale here.

On Sunday Shay Roush continues our sermon series in Exodus with “When You’re Stuck Between a Rock and a Hard Place” from Exodus 14. Last week Keith Simon preached on following God in the wilderness. Now God has brought the Israelites into a hard place, trapped between the Red Sea and Pharaoh’s advancing army. How is Israel to trust God in this predicament? The question for them and for us is how do we respond when it seems that our circumstances are hard, that God is either silent or has put us in a tight place? That’s what Shay will address from Exodus 14 on Sunday morning.
