How to Prepare for Sunday July 28th at The Crossing

On Fridays we’re posting a guide for how to prepare for the upcoming Sunday service. It gives you a chance to read the Bible passage ahead of time, see the song list, and get your mind and heart ready. You can see some of the rationale here.

Nathan Tiemeyer will preach this week from 1 John 3:1a, “Better than a Fairy Tale.” John writes, “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” How does the gospel seem to you right now? Is it exciting, or has it become boring, maybe mundane? If it is ho-hum to you, why do you think that is? Now think about a good fairy tale. What makes it so satisfying? How does it speak to your heart? Then consider this final question: How might the gospel compare to the best kind of fairy tale? Join us Sunday as Nathan helps us taste the gospel again for the first time.
